2009 Hunting Camp

We just had our 2009 traditional hunting camp at the cabin in Hatch. No one had tags, but we had a good time. I hope to put a picture here soon. We sure missed everyone who couldn't make it. It was a very warm weekend.

Happly New Year!!

I can't believe it is already 2009!! We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Its always fun when you are with the ones you love. It is still pretty cold, but the snow has been melting fast. Jaycee is going to be 15 on the 23rd. I have a grandchild that is 15???? Hunter turned 9 on the 5th. Hunter and Dalton sure had a good time together when they were here. It was nice to see all the grandchildren.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!

I am sitting at work looking out my window and watching it snow. It is beautiful. We already have about 2 inches and its still snowing. It looks so Christmasy. Hunter was here this weekend. He and Benj went looking at deer out to Johnson Canyon. Hunter had to go home before the snow hit though. I can't believe Christmas is coming so quickly. Scott and I went to tithing settlement last night.

This is getting old!!

November hasn't been too great. I have been sick since the 3rd, and I still have a sore throat. I guess it is time I went to the doctor. I don't want to, but this is getting old. We are looking forward to going to Tucson for Thanksgiving. I want to feel my best because Scottia likes the after Thanksgiving sales. Maybe her and Stasha won't drag me around too much??? I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Miss and love you all.

SHOPPING DAY!

Robin Campbell and I went shopping yesterday all day. I was so pooped when I got home. I also spent too much money, but it was fun.

AT THE CABIN

We sure had a good time this weekend at the cabin. (Our traditional deer hunt) No one had any tags, but the fishing was good. Of course the talks around the bomb fire about past hunting trips is always fun with a lot of laughs. We played cards, watched the turkeys and deer, and ate and ate. Mark and Corinne rode around on their Rhino. Bret and Duana and Qyade, Shane and Tina, Robin and Reo, Mom, Scott and I and Mark and Corinne were all there. We missed the other family members that couldn't attend. It wasn't that cold this year. Qyade slept in a tent and he was warm. We refuse to give up this tradition even though hunting has changed.

DEER HUNT WITH NO DEER????

Well, we are getting ready to go deer hunting, but it will really be fishing and wood hunting. No one has a tag this year. I miss the way the deer hunts used to be. We all came and camped. It didn't matter if we slept on the ground without a tent. One time Scott and I woke up and we were covered with snow. My bones couldn't handle that anymore. Grandpa and Grandma came to camp one year when it was snowing and Granpa only had on his unlined Levi jacket.
